Help connect WARM clients to various resources and public benefits by volunteering to work with the Benefit Bank. The Benefit Bank is a web-based tool designed to help individuals and families overcome poverty building a better future for themselves and their children. You would receive training on the Benefit Bank software program, which would enable you to lead low-income individuals through the program, which would lead and secure them to public benefits for which they are eligible. A one-day training session for the Benefit Bank will be held on Monday, August 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Training location is at 51 N. High Street, Columbus. WARM Client Service staff will be attending this training and have offered that interested volunteers could ride with them. Upon completion of the Benefit Bank training, volunteers will work with clients at the WARM office using a new computer set up especially for this service. The time commitment for volunteers will be to meet with 1 to 2 clients twice a month for approximately 1 hour each. Morning, afternoon and early evening hours will be available to schedule appointments with the clients. For more information or to register to attend the training session please contact Karan Stempko via email at karan@warmwesterville.org or 899-0196.
