Come One, Come All and volunteer to participate in this year’s annual Westerville Fourth of July parade.

Sign up now to help collect food donations along the 2.6 mile parade route which begins at Heatherdown and State St., and then heads North ending at  St. Paul’s church.

On Saturday, July 4, 2009 volunteers need to plan on arriving at the staging area located between Heatherdown and Greencrest Dr. at 12:30 p.m.!!  Parade procession begins promptly at 1:00 p.m.

You must be at least 12 years old  to volunteer without an adult.  Children 6 to 11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Please specify your desired volunteer position.  Every attempt will be made to place you there however, spaces are limited so please be flexible.

WARM is excited to announce  that this year we have our own WARM truck to use in the parade.  Thanks  to Roush Honda for their generous support and recent donation of a 16ft boxed truck.   

WARM t-shirts will be provided. (new color this year)

Volunteer positions are:   

·        WARM Banner Carrier- carry WARM banner and lead the way for WARM volunteers

·        Grocery Cart Pusher

·        Food Donation Collector

·        Coin Donation Collector

·        Frisbee Distributor

·        Section Leader – walk along truck and insure volunteer safety

·        Truck Loader – walk behind truck and help pass boxes of food to volunteers on truck

·        Truck Packer – ride on truck and collect and organize food donations,

·        Flag Carrier - WARM is partnering this year with the Rotary and we need volunteers 16 years of age and older who can walk and carry an American flag which will be on an 8ft plastic pole.  These volunteers will be walking with other Rotarian’s in front of the WARM truck.
