September is Hunger Awareness Month. Every community in the country is home to families who struggle to put food on the table. Westerville is no exception.Inflation, rising grocery prices, and increased demand from the food insecure are leaving food pantries with an even greater challenge to meet the needs of the hungry in our community.

In our service area: 

• There are 105,530 residents
• In the Westerville School District, there are 14,631 students
  • 40% participate in the free or reduced-price meal program

• WARM serves a client base of:
  • 1,767 children
  • 2,245 adults (ages 18-64)
  • 542 seniors (ages 65+)
